
What is nitro cold brew?

Rocketman is brewed using a 24-hour cold brewing process, after which nitrogen bubbles are added in canning.
What’s so special about Nitrogen? Traditional cold brew coffee is thin and watery in texture. Regular carbonation (like in Soda and other soft drinks) results in larger bubbles and a tangier flavour. Perfect for a Coke, but not ideal for coffee.
Nitrogen bubbles are multiple times smaller than those found in carbonated drinks - creating a rich, creamy texture similar to that of a perfectly textured cafe latte - without the use of dairy products whatsoever.

Why 24 Hour cold brewing?
8 Hours
The bare minimum for a drip cold brew coffee. A pleasant flavor without the acidity of a regular hot coffee, however, a short brew time is lower in strength and texture.
16 hours
Getting better - depending on the grind and brewing method, 16 hours is closer to the standard brew cafes produce.
24 Hours
The Rocketman method - 24 hours steeped for complete extraction with a concentrated caffeine level akin to a double espresso, that results in a rich cold brew coffee.

Melbournian coffee culture has its roots in the influx of Italian and Greek immigrants after World War 2, who sought to bring their espresso culture to new cafes to earn a living and rebuild in a new country. Since the “third wave” Melbourne coffee scene in the 2000s which saw innovative new baristas evolve new methods of grinding, roasting, and brewing, Melbournians have lifted the act of making coffee into a true art form.

Our Nitro Cold Brew recipe is a version of cold-brewed coffee that uses the addition of nitrogen gas to create a smooth, creamy texture.
Nitrogenation is preferred to carbonation due to nitrogen bubbles microscopic size - creating a smooth, heady texture similar to that found in whipped cream or Draft beers.

Rocketman starts with ground coffee steeped in iced water for 24 hours to create its distinct, refined flavour profile of chocolate, caramel, toffee and hazelnut.
The brew is then filtered to create a fine, rich coffee concentrate which is then mixed with filtered water or oat milk.
